Ankle pain and foot pain

The foot and ankle are two of the most frequently used parts of body. As a result, many people experience foot and ankle pain. When it comes to sports injuries, the ankle is one of the most commonly injured, with the most common injury being an inversion (lateral ankle) sprain.

At Mixed Osteo, we see clients who come in with both acute foot and ankle pain and chronic overuse complaints that result in foot and ankle pain. Acute foot and ankle pain can be caused by trauma, such as ligament sprains, soft tissue strains, stress fractures, and fractures, as well as chronic complaints caused by overuse, such as plantar fasciitis, shin splints (posterior tibialis tendinopathy), compartment syndrome, and achilles tendinitis.

When you come to see an osteopath at Mixed Osteo, we will typically take a thorough case history, followed by an assessment, before providing any treatment or management advice.
